Each year, Beta Gamma Chapter provides grants to be used in support
of nursing research projects. This amount may be given in whole or
divided among applicants whose projects meet the criteria established by
the Research Committee. Because these are nursing resource funds, the
applicant must make it clear what the nursing role or relevance is
within the research. The findings of the research grant are expected to
impact nursing. Additionally, the project needs to be feasible given the
amount of money available for funding.
Decisions regarding funding are determined by members of the Research
Committee and approved by the Executive Board. The awards are granted at the annual Beta Gamma Induction Ceremony in
spring. Recipients
are asked to attend the ceremony to receive the award. Recipients are also required to present a short synopsis of their work (in progress or
completed) the year following receipt of the award.
Any USF faculty members, practicing nurses, or student nurses who have a research project
(or idea for a project), and are in need of financial support are eligible to apply.
Please visit this website periodically. Applications will be made available online
when research grants are available.
