Bay Area Continental Philosophy Association

What is BACPA?
The Bay Area Continental Philosophy Association (BACPA) provides a platform for continental approaches of the history of philosophy. We are interested in (among other things) phenomenological, hermeneutic, and deconstructive methods of engaging with philosophical problems. Participation in the association is open to anyone interested in continental philosophy.

What does BACPA do?
BACPA organizes colloquia and lectures in the San Francisco Bay Area. These colloquia provide a platform for those working in continental philosophy to present works in progress. If you are interested in presenting, please send a brief abstract and title to gkuperus@usfca.edu or moele@usfca.edu

For upcoming events click here.

BACPA encourages everyone to submit papers for the Pacific Association for the Continental Tradition (PACT) a new annual meeting for continental philosophy on the West Coast. The second annual meeting will take place on October 8 and 9 at the University of San Francisco. The CFP is here.

If you would like to join our email-list to receive information about the colloquia, please send an email to gkuperus@usfca.edu
