FROMM INSTITUTE STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Fromm Institute Student Association

Adding to the esprit de corps of the Fromm Institute, there is an active and involved student government.

The Fromm Institute Student Association develops a social program for its constituents and organizes around an agenda set by its members’ interests. Concerts, “Brown Bag” lunchtime events, and special treats for the body and intellect are planned.

Everyone who is enrolled in Fromm Institute classes is considered to be its member.

Four Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer) and an equal sized Steering Committee are elected in alternating years each Spring Session for a two-year term. They can serve in a student leadership position for a maximum of four consecutive years, or two consecutive terms.

The President of the Fromm Institute Student Association serves as an ex-officio member of the Friends of the Fromm Institute Board of Directors and as such offers counsel on matters that are of general importance to Fromm Institute Students.

The Fromm Institute Student Association (FISA) asks every member to offer voluntary dues of $5 each eight-week

session they attend. This assessment is placed into the Student Association Treasury and disbursed for its purposes as directed by the Officers and Steering Committee.

Currently the Officers are

Joan Cucek, M.D., President

Dorothy Auerbach, Vice-President

Shari Gropper, Secretary

Lois Roach, Treasurer

Currently serving on the Steering Committee are:

Linda Allan, Herbert Goodman, M.D, Allan Jackman, M.D, and David McClure
