The Fromm Institute Appreciates Your Financial Support
As an independent non-profit at USF, the Fromm Institute provides its own funding, reimbursing the University of San Francisco for the use of all campus resources. It relies on the generous financial support of the community that it serves and has never accepted government funding.
Friends of the Fromm Institute
Financially supported by the Friends of the Fromm Institute, a private non-profit organization coded as a 509 (a)3, type iii organization by federal and state authorities, the Fromm Institute’s lifelong learning program has existed since 1976. Through the contributions of its Board of Directors, the donations of appreciative Fromm Institute students/faculty/staff, as well as gifts/grants from the Bay Area philanthropic community, the Friends of the Fromm Institute matches the membership fees paid by Fromm Institute members and in doing so enables a balanced, fiscally responsible budget.
Ways to Give
Annual Appeal
This yearly, direct mail appeal spotlights the mission of the Fromm Institute and its lifelong learning outreach to thousands of Bay Area retired people every year. It states the case for our fundraising need and asks for help from the donors it reaches. Internally managed by the Fromm Institute staff, no third party, fund-raising agency profits from any gift. 100% goes directly to the purpose intended, the Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning. To make a contribution through the Fromm Institute’s Annual Appeal, contact Scott Moules or Robert Fordham.
Alfred & Hanna Fromm Society
Members of this planned giving association have designated a charitable bequest to the Fromm Institute in their will, living trust or retirement plan. The Alfred & Hanna Fromm Society honors the commitment of all who care and welcomes all bequests, regardless of size, that make a meaningful difference. It offers life planning workshops and donor recognition activities. To be recognized as a member of this Living Legacy Society, contact the Fromm Institute’s Executive Director, and Society Member, Robert Fordham.
Gifts In Recognition
The Fromm Institute has a recognition program that sends an original Fromm Institute greeting card to an intended recipient, upon such request being made by a donor. Themed for birthdays, anniversaries, or memorial recognition, they even include a “just because” message that can be sent as merely an expression of personal appreciation. To make a gift to the Fromm Institute in honor of another, contact Scott Moules at the Fromm Institute.
Tax ID
The Friends of the Fromm Institute Federal Tax ID number is 94-2427266. All contributions made to the Fromm Institute are acknowledged to the donor under it. Gifts to the Friends of the Fromm Institute are fully tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Tax-deductible gifts can also be made to the University of San Francisco with the designation that they should be directed to the Fromm Institute.
