USF invites individuals and businesses interested in supporting the goals of the California Prize to join us as a California Prize Dinner Sponsor. Proceeds from the California Prize Dinner directly benefit service learning programs at USF, supporting projects such as the design, construction, and maintenance of the Bridgeview Learning Garden in Bayview-Hunters Point. Through service learning projects, USF art + architecture students built a library for AIDS orphans in Zambia; nursing students have worked alongside midwives in impoverished communities in Latin America; and computer science students are bridging the digital divide by creating computer labs in disadvantaged schools throughout the Bay Area. Offered in every college and academic discipline, USF's service learning programs prepare students for lives and careers of ethical service.
USF is honored to recognize the generosity of California Prize Dinner Sponsors whose gifts support students' passion for service and the university's commitment to community-based learning. The names of each sponsor will be prominently featured in all printed and electronic event materials. During the 2011 dinner event, USF will welcome sponsors as distinguished guests-connecting them with extraordinary students who contribute and serve the global community.
